I Love You

Because I love you I want you to be happy

No matter the cost of mine.

Because I love you I will put you first

No matter what I have to sacrifice.

Because I love you I will make sure you know why you are loved.

A little twist of words changes the meaning

And some might use it against you

In such a way that manipulates your feelings

But because I love you

I would never do anything to hurt you.

Because I truly love you,

I will not lie to you and say

That  you should only speak to me

That you should only love me

That I should be your only friend

That no one else understands you

Because I love you

I know that you should have other friends;

They make you happy

I know that you should spend time to yourself

Everyone needs it

I know that you will stay with me if you love me

Not because you are afraid to leave

Because I love you I will help you understand that

Love is unconditional and it has no limits because

Love is not taught,

It is not forced,

It just is.
