I Love You

I sit and watch the clock 

as the minutes go by so slow.

I want to tell you that 

    I LOVE YOU 

Just in case you didn't know.

When you came into my life 

well girl you stole away my heart 

Now it's thoughts of you that fill

my mind  whenever we're apart 

I long to hold you close my love 

and drive away your fears 

And whisper tender words of love 

softly in your ears 

I want to be beside you 

as we both grow old and gray

And even then my love for you 

will grow stronger every day
