I love you, so why do you hurt me?

Love is war

Love is a battlefield

Emotions are our weapons

But love is not a war, it is a battle

And love is not a field, it is a foundation

Emotions are not our weapons, they are our drive

Because I love you, I will do everything in my power to keep you by my side

Love makes you cry

Love makes you fragile

Emotions mentally break you down

But love isn’t worth crying for if it hurts

And love isn’t worth the doubt if it has no stability

Emotions aren’t worth the struggle if you’re in agony

Because I love you, I would never do or say anything to hurt you

Love is a white rose

Love is a black shadow

Emotion can be a cruel pleasure

But love can’t be pure if it conceals

And love can’t be bleak if it was cheerful

Emotions shouldn’t be a burden if it blesses

Because I love you, I will do everything within my power to make sure you always have a smile

Love has a habit of leaving

Love has a habit of scaring you

Emotions have a way of tiring you out

But love shouldn’t run, it should rise above

And love shouldn’t scar, it should steadily adorn

Emotions wouldn’t have suffered if they had something to live for

Because I love you, I would never put you in a position to make you feel unsafe
