i love you still

i love you so much and i want you to know that

ill never stop loving you as long as i know you

no matter how horrible you are to me and 

no matter how many times you break my heart and shatter me

ill always love you because you

were my first love and my first heartbreak and

you were the first to get in and walk out so

you get that special little memorial

the plaque by the door to the sealed off room

that is the part of my heart that i can never

offer up to anyone else, that no one can take from you because

even if you dont know or care or want, 

its yours. 

and that part will never quite heal to be the 

same as it was before the fires and earthquakes and 

floods of tears that ruined my heart because

it was hit first and the hardest and 

died from the inside out, burned alive

and it will never heal.
