I Loved You More

You wanted to see me

"You have so much to do though" you said

But I still came

Because I loved you more

I ask you on a date

"My treat!" you said

But I still paid

Because I loved you more

I asked you to prom

"I'll meet you there!" you said

But I still gave you a ride

Because I loved you more

You told me how someone hurt you

"Don't confront them" you said

But I still did

Because I loved you more

I ask you to marry me

"I love you" you said

But I still knew

I loved you more
