I Made a Choice

If I had chosen the latter

  I wouldn't be this different

If I had said yes

  I wouldn't be where I am.

If I had resisted my feelings

  I wouldn't have gotten hurt

If I had broken the rules

   I wouldn't have saved myself

If I had denied you

  I wouldn't have cried

If I had said no

I wouldn't have this silver lining

If I had not said those words

I wouldn't have lost those friends

If I had not listened

  I wouldn't be so confused

If I had made a single, different decision

  I wouldn't be who I am today

This is who I am

This is the person I've become

This is who I am

This is the person I love.
