I May Not Be Perfect
I may not be perfect, but I am flawless. I may not breathe with ease, nor have a body that athletes envy. But I have a strength that boils underneath my skin and drives me to succeed. I may not be the smartest kid in the class, nor have a GPA that makes colleges swoon. But I have a mind that sees through prejudice and a confidence in myself that makes lions cower like field mice. I may not sing every note on key, nor play a piano with unrivaled elegance. But I have an ear for the music of wind through autumn leaves and a voice that harmonizes with laughter from broken hearts around me. I may not have a face that launched a thousand ships, nor hair as soft as an angel's divine wing. But I have a crooked nose that makes me unlike the magnetic molded models and my hair bounces with fresh welcoming scent all its own. I may not be perfect, but I am flawless.
