I may wander, but it's you who is lost

To the lost boy,

You don’t want to see me dance, or hear me laugh out loud.

I’ll still do both anyway, in hopes I’ll make you proud.

Please don’t miss out on this journey of mine,

The journey that made me who I am today.

Push me down and I’ll still stand in front of you,

And fiercely love you anyway.

I will hold you in my heart, even if you don’t understand.

Because I pray one day, you’ll love me for who I am.

Before all this, you taught me to be strong,

I don’t understand how it all went wrong.

I’m sorry that I hurt you, but you’ve hurt me too.

You still mean more to me than I ever did to you.

I will hold you in my heart, even if you don’t understand.

Because I pray one day, you’ll love me for who I am.

Despite all your faults, I will always love you.

I only wish you could love me like that too.
