i like me better when i'm with(out) you

we met on an app,

the colour of the sun.

you were the night, and i was the day

it felt just right, like my life was about to start.

and that's when it all fell apart.

how was it possible to spend so long talking to you? it seemed like we had so much in common, so many stories to tell.

but love grows old, and it changes with the seasons.

now you're just a polaroid

tucked to the bottom of my memory box, waiting to be discovered again.
