I Mean It

I know we have no future

But I swear I cannot leave,

You say I give you hope,

But you wear it on your sleeve.

I'm just an empty girl,

With nothing but a soul;

I cannot save you from yourself,

I cannot make you whole.

I know I'm not the one you want,

I see it in your eyes.

For now though I am content,

With breathing in the lies.

My dear, please know I'm sorry,

For your world I fear will fall..

But before whatever happens,

Please know I meant it all.
