I might be growing up

I was young and dumb then..
I was young and dumb when..
I thought life was so sweet...
We was posted on the corner then you left me in the street...but
I was young and dumb then..
I was young and dumb when..
I thought life was so grand..
then I tried to sit under you so I could understand...
But I was young and dumb then..
I was young and dumb when..
I thought you'd be there for me..
But that wasn't the case and even blind eyes can see...
But I was young and dumb then...
I was young dumb then...wait wasn't you dumb too...
Didn't you miss me just as much as I missed you...nah...
We'll maybe your smart...but I wish we were young...again...
So we can restart...
Let's go back young... And stay like that...
So I could already have you...and never want you back...
So I could get that love and attention that I hate I been missing....
But  I was young and dumb then...
I wish I was young and dumb...
again...

I live in Chicago... I've never been apart of a poetry slam sadly...never a talent show or anything or that nature..because I'm popular at school and I want people to love my words because that hit close to home not jus because I'm a good athlete as well
