I miss
I miss your gentle eyes looking into mine with acuity.
When your arms were wrapped around me,
I was enveloped in your scent that makes me hazy.
The scent I still remember and I miss dearly.
I miss being happy and relaxed around you a bunch.
You were my anchor, the reason I woke with adrenaline.
I went out of my way far too much.
And I miss the taste of your lips on mine,
I remember our rhythm was as one in my brain.
We had a deep connection and a playful one too.
Seeing you brings back the pain all over again.
From the days I thought I was in love with you.
But too bad it was just all in my head.
Oh, I wish you were more than just a friend.
