I Miss Me

Dear Happiness,

I miss you. The real you.

I miss you like an old friend,

Or like the summer in December.

Sometimes I still feel you,

I still see you in a child's eyes.

I felt you when I was in love,

You were always by my side.

But I watched you disappear when he left.

I feel you flee when I am alone.

I miss you. I don't like pretending.

Please come back.
