I Missed You

The world grows cold,
and shadows remain
even in the sunshine...

Yes the stars are aglow,
and the rivers still flow.

But you are not here,
your heart is not near
and it's not mine.

Just a ghost from the past
haunting my nights,
Leave me dreaming...

Too obscure you remain
as if the blood in my veins...

My heart beats
as you sleep
though it's bleeding.

Your words are a novel
given heed as I read
they awaken...

Sweet stories they weave,
and my heart they deceive.

Pulse and pound
to the sound
and i'm taken.
