I Must Continue with the Painting
I’ve never seen the picture before, but I must continue.
I am not the artist, but each action I take contributes.
No one has seen the final masterpiece, but I know it will be great.
I do not understand the process of the art, but I must continue.
Each day adds color to another part as the lines solidify.
The artist watches from above but I do not always see.
Not always does the painting go my way, but I must continue.
I know that in the end, the picture with be beautiful,
But every day my hand tires and I struggle to paint a little more.
Sometimes I cannot find the lines to follow, but I must continue.
Looking from where I am I cannot comprehend the complexity.
But where I falter, the artist takes my hand and guides my through.
Sometimes I feel that I am lost without hope, but I must continue.
Completing each stroke to bring me a little closer to that hope,
And a little closer to the artist watching and teaching me.
Even though I will be weary in the end, still I will continue.
The picture will never be complete until the artist says it is.
And until that day the pieces do not makes sense to me.
I must trust and continue painting, following the artist.
