I Need Conflict To Grow

My life would be better off without conflict:

Those little disagreements 

And those huge blow outs. 

Feelings would be spared if I just nodded,

The slight up and down movement

That has the power to pacify. 

If I didn't share my opinions

And didn't listen to the opposition,

Then I'd never have a reason to change. 

I would live peacefully

And any opinion that could have had power,

Would move aside for a passive nod.
