I need me

If I could take one thing with me

It would be me

I need me, for the air that I breathe

I need me, for the energy that I cease

I need me, for everything I want to be

If I could take one thing with me

It would be me

I need me, for the thoughts that fill me

I need me, for the eyes that see beyond me

I need me, for the tears that fall when I am defeated

If I could take one thing with me

It would be me and only me

I need me, not for only the body- but for the soul that fulfills me

When nobody is there besides you, who will really guide you?

You need yourself when you are happy

You need yourself when you are sad

If nobody needs me

I need me
