I Need Peace

In this city

there is no peace.

No peace of mind,

fullly stressed;

Can you tell me why my head is spinning

into one big mess?

I want some peace,

so I escape

to an island where I am happy

with no headaches.

The island is an extension of me.

It is quiet and gentle

with swaying palm trees.

Its beauty captures its grace.

It kinda reminds me of flowing silk lace.

I can lay on the sand

and I dare not say it is bland.

It is so calm,

I can stay here all day long.

I need peace.

It is who I am.

It is what I cherish.

I need peace.
