I Need U

I've heard once that DNA doesn't make a family and that love does

Now, I'm starting to believe it's true

Though I am living life peacefully and happily

I need u

Sometimes when I wake up

I wonder if this is all true

All it takes for me is to blink once to realize

I need u

From infant to teenager

I had you to look up to

Now, there's no one to rely on

I need u

But I want to ask

Do you miss me like I do?

Do you worry about me like I do for you?

Do you know I need u?

Even though I am smiling at the hilarious jokes being told

Even though I am crying on someone else's shoulder

Even though I act like I don't care anymore

I still need u
