I Need You Here

Alone, sitting in the infinite sand,
waiting for nothing else but your hand.
It is your presence that I demand;
Your companion I sure command.

The sun goes down, the dark night comes,
but nothing is darker than this abyss of hopes.
If only I had your light,
everything would be alright.

The sun awakens.
My soul beckons.

Your touch, a desire;
Your gaze, a need;
Your voice I require
to be content indeed.

The moon and the stars ascend from their bed;
they see me not smiling and think that I am dead.
“Everything is fine, no need to pretend”
I say when internally I want this to end.

Where are you, my dear?!
Without you all is unclear!
