I Needed Him

I needed him like I needed the air to breathe. It wasn't something I could control. It was just this feeling, this burning desire in my chest that sparked and roared into flames at each thought of him. It was was instinctual, habitual, it was all and it was nothing, and it scared me. He tore down my fortified walls with a kiss to the forehead and defeated my defenses with a smile. I was ambushed, knocked off my feet. I was conquered by a boy I swore I'd never love. I needed him.
