I need/Societt

I need to be numb. My emotions only betray me. I become attached to the wrong things, And it only leads to hurt. My skin craves a pain. My lungs desire toxins. My internal environment bleeds for the feelings to flee. They all want one thing, Numbness. I need a change. A difference. But all I have is the mediocre life of a drowning teenager. A small drop in the societal ocean. Silenced by the hand of the creator. A gun cocked into my back. A whisper into my ears, Smile. And I obey, like the little girl I was raised to be. But inside, I want to take the gun held behind me, Face it, And make him shoot. Pew.
