I Never Told You

I can see the broken in your eyes

And every part you try to disguise

It’s beautiful and tragic

The scars on your arms

The tears on your pillow

And the baggy clothes that

Engulf your figure

I love you

For all that you are

For your struggles with perfection

Those scars on your arms

Are signs that you’ve lived

That smile on your face

Is proof that you’ve won

It’s tragic and beautiful

Your story

And you,

You’re everything to me
