I never wanted to fit
I never wanted to fit a stereotype.
I never wanted to be seen as the naive "girl next door" that fell for a player type of girl.
That "No he really does care about me" type of girl.
The girl with so much love she doesn't know what to do with it so she'll give it to anyone accepting type of girl.
Those are the things I never wanted to become, but look at me now.
In this very moment, as I lay awake while you lay sleeping next to me I can't help but question why.
Why did you do to this to me?
Why did I do this to myself?
When you saw it happening why didn't you stop it?
What is it about me?
And I mean that in multiple aspects. What about me makes you smile or makes you sad?
What peaked your interest?
What kept your interest?
What keeps you here with me?
You've made it clear we "can't" be together.
But for some reason you're still here with me.
So what the fuck is it? What do you want from me?
Haven't you made enough of a fool of me already?
This cliche is killing me and I've just about had it.
