I Now Know...

In the life I live I have learned more than I could imagine

from friends, family, even myself.

The list goes on.

But putting words on paper is

something that taught me more than I could have ever hoped.

I know how to speak,

but I learned to use my voice

I know about feelings,

but I learned how to

express them in a way besides smiles and cries.

I was never a painter

and was never taught to draw,

but through this I could create art.

I found that writing for me, I would gain much more than

anyone could give me.

But it also taught me

not everyone is who we think

and not every rainbow

comes with a pot of gold.

That things aren’t perceived how they should be,

but how we choose to see them.
