I Once, But Jesus
I once was lost in sin’s dark night,
But Jesus then showed me the way.
I once was blind and could not pray,
But Jesus gave my heart new sight.
I once had a robe stained with spite,
But Jesus sent new love my way.
I once was hungry every day,
But Jesus helped, he satisfied.
I once had no sweet song to sing,
But Jesus songs of praise did bring.
I once did not have peace in life,
But Jesus took away the strife.
I once had no good gift to give,
But Jesus now for you I’ll live.
