I only have a few

Dear Andre,

I only have a few memories of you, as you know our relationship began when I was two

When I was young you instilled fear into me, not because you were frightful but because I respected you with glee, you taught me how to be

respectful, spent time with me, took me to the park when it was sunny, to be honest I don’t remember you ever being funny

But then again, I only have a few memories of you

I remember for my fourth birthday you and mom took me to Disney World, I remember smiling and laughing, and you were standing there all macho

and happy, that day I don't remember too much but I can imagine you enjoyed yourself with us, (by the way you gave one of the best hugs).

I only have a few memories of you, you were one of the quite ones, which is not necessarily a negative aspect of your personality, actually in reality,

you seemed mysterious, which in all honesty made me sometimes feel I was delirious, only because I wanted to get closer to you, if only I had the

words to form to ask you, I believe you had a lot on your plate, for instance you had to provide for the family carrying all of that weight, you kept

how you were feeling inside but as all things, everything comes to light within time.

But I don't know I only have a few memories of you,

You taught my mom to think on a bigger scale, to teach me to never give up or fail, to get an education,

so I won't have to struggle, to find some type of occupation, You have left a huge imprint in my life and my moms and for that I thank you,

I only have a few memories of you, this memory I am not particularly fond of, I remember you slowly becoming an invalid, eventually admitting

yourself into the hospital, yes you did, but because of your pride being so strong, and waiting so long, your heart became weak, which exemplified

your imperfection and all of sudden you were no longer a mystery, because of your sickness I was able to see you clearly. Even when your body was

weak, your soul remained strong in front of the people who loved to hear you speak, which is the reason why we're here if you ask me.

I was devastated when you left me,

I may only have a few memories of you but without a doubt this one will always stick out,

You left me a letter and told me not to read it until I was in the first grade, typical as always had to be in control of the charades, but in this letter, you

told me you hope that I have a great first day, then proceeded to say, never give up. My response is, I won't, I will continue to shine bright, due to

your spark, you created this beautiful light that will always and forever be in sight.

I may only have a few memories of you, but you are with me every step of the way, through every thought and vibration of energy, you will always

stay alive in my memories.

Love,
