I Peep Through the Peep Hole
I Hide Behind the Peep Hole.
In front of my door stands a suited man.
Through the peep hole, I look hard as I can.
I now refuse to open: i am not a fool
but this one tall and dark, might change the rule.
I squint to see his black hair its deep waves
rippling like the sea tides on his fresh fade.
Dark eyes, brown resembling roasted chestnuts.
His teeth bright white, a smile I should not trust.
The body slender standing 6 feet tall.
Ralph Lauren suit, on his body not small
Even his brown shoes were without a scratch
I just stand there, watching. Would i be a match?
He knocks again and still, I’m not prepared.
My body stiffens, my limbs are weak as air
and yet I keep on looking through the door
I don’t open. He isn’t there anymore.
He moves to his sports car, shaking his head.
He murmurs words but I can’t hear what’s said.
He gets into the car and buckles his belt,
The car cranks. I can’t describe how I felt.
Down the cul-de-sac, and around the curve,
and out my vision he goes with a swerve .
