I pray

I remember walking down those halls The pushing the shoving But most of all I remember my fall Hands on my back throwing me down Bleeding and broken on the ground In my humility no smiles just frowns I pray never again My heart aching Holding back my cries I knew I was breaking I pray never again Now that I am broken will you leave me be What more could you want Can’t you see you have taken all of me? I pray never again Wishing things were better I wait and see Speaking to my father Happiness will sure find thee Each day I become stronger I pray never again They can hurt me no longer Amen
