I Pray, America

I hear America...

Sirens ringing, helicopters hovering

I try not to, but still I listen

I pray, America.

Loud screams, Bad dreams

They feel so real yet so fake

So I pray, America.

Happy day,

Listen to all the laughter,

the playing, the game.

Sad day,

Lost my way, hoping to forget

So I pray, America.

Life seems short and it seems long

We may not know it,

but we're all doing wrong

So I pray America

Wars fought, fighting still going on

I wonder when will it be all over.

So I pray America.

I may only be a child barely starting life

But my eyes have see things

it shouldn't have

But still I have faith

I still have hope

And the only thing I have left to say is

I pray America.
