I like to pretend that God saves everybody

That he saves the young atheist down the block

And the girl who had a baby in middle school

And the boy who used to believe in him

But doesn’t because of what he’s been through

Should he be punished?

Just because his brother was hit by a car

And he couldn’t believe God did it

So he chose not to believe him at all

I hope he doesn’t go to Hell

For loving his brother more than himself

I hope that God forgives him

I hope he saves us all
