This I Promise

I know it's hopeless

You and I

I can't get you out of my mind

You're everywhere

I remember,

When things were different

The stars danced,

As I held you in my arms

Now, my arms are empty

The stars fade to black

My only

My one love

You wanted more

I wasn't enough

The good days are gone

Only memories remain

I push away

Scared by the past

Dreading the future

Consumed in the present

I try to move

Pushing away the thought of you

Your hand in mine

Your lips on my cheek

I flood

Rain crashing against the ground

Forever

You promise

Forever isn't eternal

But my love is
