I Promise♥

Knowing it won't change, But wishing it could... I know you can't come back, But I really wish you could. Had you sooner realized, That you needed help, Life would be different, You'd still be arouned. I'd still come home, To your smile every day, I'd still have a dad, Who'd love me in every way. It's hard to hold on, To these memories so dear, When each glorious one, Brings about a tear. I'd be a different girl, Not so sensitive or strong, But I'd trade it all in... Do you think that's wrong? As the 22nd approaches, Each day drags on, How I don't want it to come, There's no way it's been that long. My semi-finals performance, Will be dedicated to you, I promise to make you proud, I promise I will come through. I promise to never forget, What an amazing man we lost, I promise that even though you died, Your dreams and ideals did not. I promise to keep you alive, By living through your free spirit, I promise to love my life, Just as you once wished it.
