I Refuse To Forget

I don't want to forget

All the things we've done

All the things we've seen

All the things we've touched

And smelled

And heard

And felt

I don't want to forget you

I don't want to forget us

It's all getting blurry now

I can't remember the overpowering love that bound us together

I can't remember the precious voice that left your lips

I can't remember the delightful aroma that comforted me when we embraced

I can't remember the feel of you in my arms

I can't remember how I gazed upon you with love and wonder

I can't remember how we were

What we were

Who we were

Your presence in my heart becomes faint and fainter

This is the end

I refuse to forget
