I Remain, despite you.

After the traces of your feet walked away, 

Freeing her roots, 

those for lengths, were weighed heavy into the earth-

at the mercy of your dishonesty.

She stepped into the light, crawled with her a little dark,

Reminding of a place draped black and heavy-

with piles she wept, of what lingers

Her heart so crimson, creaked so pale,

Yet grew a slender sapling, young but bold.

Now deep-rooted then ever,

that little dark, she audaciously drags around with a bold hold of its tail,

just to remind what she made a life out of.
