I remember when, I lost my toy bear A bear from which I could never part You helped me as I looked from here to there Because you knew it was so dear to my heart I remember when, you were bullied around I could see in your eyes that you were afraid Bruised knee from being pushed to the ground I never hesitated to come to your aid I remember when, he broke my heart That night I cried and cried And though I’d hoped we'd never part You were always there by my side I remember when, you became ill You got worse little by little Hope, in you I'd try to instill I'd spend the night with you in the hospital I remember throughout the years All the things we did together Through all the joy and tears Our friendship lasted through stormy weather Because I love you And you love me too That's why we can call our friendship true.
