I remember

I remember all the times  you held me i your arms

I  still feel your arms wrapped around me

I still remember the day you told me you were going to war

And how you held me close and wiped away my tears

You told me not fear

That you would come back to me once more

You kissed me farewell

I remember the day

You came home

And kissed me tenderly on the lips

We never left each other after that day.
