I Remember

I remember when everything was sweet

You would tell me things that were so pure

Like when you used to tell me you loved me

Little did I know you weren’t the cure

I remember all the things you said

The times you said you would stay

Now I can’t get it out of my head

You didn’t want me, you just wanted to play

I remember the hurt that I felt

You broke me from the very start

Even then you still made me melt

You knew you broke my heart

But then I remembered that I come first

And that’s when the flowers began to burst
