I Remember

There was once a time of innocence here

Do you remember? 'Twas not so far back

Back when the children had little to fear

Now everything’s changed; it’s all turning black

Back when children would go outside and play

Teens still felt butterflies in their tummies

Now kids are just on computers all day

And teen girls are just becoming mommies

Surprisingly, no one’s doing a thing

We see it, but don’t want to accept it

Our planet and its people are fading

Someone has to step up while the rest sit

We know society’s changed drastically

Let’s all change it back, just be my ally
