I Remember...

I Remember...

Feeling the tension in the air.

Memories floating all around me, as I stood there.

I Remember...

Feeling the pain of knowing she would no longer be around,

And slowly I watched, as my tears hit the ground.

I Remember...

Remembering from the very beginning.

As a baby, I'd cry and her voice was just, so soothing.

I Remember...

The scent lingering from her perfume, Red Door.

It caused an instant aching in my heart, as it tore.

I knew the end was near, as I heard the monitor give beep after beep.

I never knew I could feel a hurt that cut so deep.

The thought raced through my mind,

"How could this happen so fast?"

Now all I hear, is the repetition of those words that were her last.
