I remember

I remember the first time we met.

I was shy and awkward, you were so nice.

I remember seeing you hurt.

I wanted to hold your hand.

I wanted to tell you "everything will be okay."

I remember seeing you with your girlfriend.

I wished I was her.

I wanted to be your friend.

I remember obsessing over you.

I wanted to be your friend.

I remember becoming friends.

I was happy.

I remember seeing you hurt.

I wanted to hold your hand.

I wanted to tell you "everything will be okay."

This time I did.

I remember holding your hand.

I felt so special.

I remember making you smile.

I felt so special.

I remember becoming more than friends.

I was happy.

I remember the first time we kissed.

I thought I was in heaven.

I felt so special.

I remember our pointless conversations.

I enjoyed talking to you.

I felt so special.

I remember you calling me crying.

I was scared.

I remember you saying "I can't do this."

I was silent.

I remember you saying "I'm so sorry."

I was silent.

I remember you hung up the phone.

I was hurt.

I remember seeing you the next day.

I wanted you to hold my hand.

I wanted you to tell me "everything will be okay."

I was hurt.

I remember how we became strangers.

I remember how you saw me hurting.

I remember crying.

I remember how you didn't care.

I remember how you were hurt too.

I wanted to hold your hand.

I wanted to tell you "everything will be okay."

I remember you ignoring me.

I wanted to help you.

I wanted to be your friend.

I was hurt.

I remember our last words to each other:

I want to be your friend.

I want to be your friend.

I want to be your friend.

I remember how we distanced ourselves from each other.

I want to be your friend.

I want to be your friend.

I want to be your friend.
