I remember
I remember when I was quite small
When the world around me wasn't cruel
But I'd still pinch my skin sometimes
Just to make the the pain turn fine(s)
I remember when my eyes reddened
And my voice had to be steadened
And my tears drowned my pillow
Binding my sorrow like a great willow
I remember when my tears turned red
And I started going days under fed
And my sink was filled with my tears
That stained my sink crimson over years
I remember when I enjoyed my days
When I awaited positively for my fate
Before I broke and cut for my life
Before my best friend was no more than a knife
I remember that its always been bad
But I don't think I've ever been this sad
I remember when it was Just the start
Now the end is drawing on my behalf
