I Remember

My heart beats, like yours, like theirs.

I love, like you do, like they do.

I feel pain, just as you

the lights were flashing, I thought it was the music

falling

    falling

        f

          a

                l

                   l

                       i

                          n

                                g

like leaves in autumn

I ran, like a coward

selfishness

i heard the footsteps

i saw the gun

the gun that took the life of the people around me

i live in guilt

remembering the buzzing of phones, the hopelessness..

praying... trying to contact love ones

I remember, and I will never forget
