I Remember You

I saw your face today

I saw your hand delicately tucked

into your cheek

Saw how your sweater covered your hand

Because you always wore sweaters with long sleeves

And I remembered

I could feel it

Feel you

I remember every texture, every space of your hand

Your hands were always cold

But I can only remember the warmth of your light

Your fingers always nervous

Searching

Afraid I might let go

And I wish I never had

Because I saw your face today

I saw your hand delicately tucked

into your cheek

And the fact that I lost you

Remains tucked into my soul

I Remember You.

How could I forget?
