I Remembered

You were the one.
You were always the one.
I turned to you when I needed comfort.
Tonight, I wanted to visit you,
but then I remembered.
It was you.
It was only you.
You were the first one to make me feel.
Tonight, I got tired of numbness,
but then I remembered.
You were the one.
You were the only one I told.
Tonight, I needed to be heard,
but then I remembered.
You.
It was you.
It was you who left.
Tonight, I want to smile,
but then I remember:
Me.
This time it's me.
I've made my choice.
Tonight, I stop missing you,
But I will remember.
