I, the Rose

But if you allow those tears to sink

Into the soil of the gardens of your heart,

My friend.

You will find flowers in every corner.

And if you welcome Pain and Sadness into your home

You will see that they will not find room there.

For in your home,

A seed with Love’s name on it lies beneath your auburn floorboards.

A seed that will one day grow and burst into your home,

Forcing Pain and Sadness to leave your dwelling place.

But you will be thankful for these agonizing visits,

For only their presence

Can bring forth the tears

That will give that seed life

And let what was once just a small seed of latent potential

Grow into a multitude of a million blooming roses
