I saw you
hey I saw you again
first time in over 2 months
although it's been just a few weeks since I ended things
I saw you
in a new group
arm in arm with my ex friend's ex
far away from those toxic people you once called friends
I saw you
and your hair was darker
did you dye it?
or maybe it was just wet?
it grew out so much since I last saw it
I saw you
and your face looked different
your lips smaller
your skin was tanner and clearer
I saw you
your posture was better
that tank top
your shoulders you always showed
they looked broader
and your chest bigger
like in my old fantasies
but I saw you
with that same serious expression
I've only seen you smile at my gig back in April
and I saw you
those eyes
not with your glasses over them
yet still the same
I knew it was you
my face felt warm
and before you could ever see me
I looked away
