I See
Talli Hammond
I see
I feel the phantom of the nail in my hand,
All this pain had me listen to damn,
Friends and fam, telling me to clean my dirty mirror,
Just so I can get the picture clearer,
Photographs make me laugh,
Because I identify with all of my past,
I facetime, on macbook,
Because I know that face,
And I know that look,
The eyes of temptation want to know how I'm feeling,
Parading on stage and the honesty leaking,
I wonder how at this age could you be so shameless?
How could bare to wear that across your chest?
So ironic, that's timeless and stronger than any,
Chronic, pain that your feeling, I got the remedy for redeeming,
Fall back off your demons, and spring forward for the healing,
I tell my sisters, listen for for our father calling out,
I know you think he left but listen to what he's talking about,
Conversations from your lips to God's ears,
I hope you get that job, I hope you're able to feed your kids,
So don't you fret, and don't you cry,
Cause father's child support is always on time
The eyes of jealousy and hatred alike,
Call you friend, but holding a knife,
See you winning the game, but try to mess up your life,
See you climbing up stairs, and trip you like it's alright,
Well that's okay we all just the same,
Wishing flipping dimes will bring happiness
Trying to get revenge, against who are we against,
Trying to speak out, in none of our business,
Trying to make time,
Well you trying the patience,
Always saying,
“Well igh just give me couple a minutes, I'm a build a building nobody can get up in it,
A castle with 300 gunners, with servants, and a princess,
A temple with tags, on a foundation of solid gold bricks,”
Homie I hear ya, but ya need to listen,
I spy the bond with the villain, wicked, tricked the chicken, to believe the sky falling through the window, played the man, trying to find where the walls tho?, so bro, you gotta praise to the ceiling, give your praise, to the sky, in pursuit of a better feeling, give your praise, to the sky, in search of a better a meaning, give your praise, to the sky, cause he blessing all of his children, we gonna be alright, brother, cause you truly are of my kin.
It goes on & on, and I'll tell you once again, if you got it, we good, we gonna fly away my friend.
