I See You
I see you
A sacrifice
grand and bold
yet quiet and unrecognized
I see you
A student
hardworking and passionate
yet drowning in debt
unable to pay off the education
you traded so righteously for justice
to the social justice lawyer and activist:
I see you
and I hear you
and I will forever be inspired
by your sacrifice
for the greater good
of humanity.
