I shake so softly

I can feel my heart beat

It beats so slowly now

But it thumps

And it thumps

So loudly

I can feel my hand twitch

I can't control the way it moves

It shakes so softly now

I can tell

That I'm not really in control anymore

That there's only so little I can do

I can tell

That my body is tired

That it doesn't want to put up a fight

But how can I wait

How can I stand still

How can I just look on in anger?

I am unable to move

Unable to change

I am unable to do

I will stand in this spot

Listening to my heart

Watching my hand

And forgetting the past -

I will stand in this spot

And look on in anger

And watch as it all falls apart.
